Mercedes-Benz joins the ranks of designer cars that have been designed by a designer. Just like Orla Kiely for the Citroën DS3, Mercedes-Benz has commissioned iconic French fashion designer Jean-Paul Gaultier to trick out a pair of Smart ForTwo cars. Gaultier chose his very familiar and classic stripes.

The cars are on display as part of the "From the Sidewalk to the Catwalk" exhibit in front of the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. The museum is presenting a multimedia exhibition celebrating the designer's 35-year career.

Unfortunately, the cars aren't for sale.
