If you are from Southern Ontario (or upper New York State) there is a good chance that you know there are some serious cars in Canada's largest city. It is considered among many that Woodbridge, Ontario houses the most Ferrari's in one single area compared to anywhere else across Canada. This could likely also be carried forward for nearly any brand of exotics that call that area their home.
On a daily basis it is an ordinary sight to see somewhere in the neighbourhood of 10 Ferrari's cruising around nonchalantly, as well as a slew of other marques. For people that live out of the area and find an exotic sighting to be a rarity, this event will satisfy your fix for expensive, powerful, beautifully styled cars which encircle all of what it means to be an Italian exotic. Click past the jump to get all the details on the upcoming event.
Italian Car Day, presented by Engineered Automotive, will be held on August 27 at Boyd Conservation area (8739 Islington Ave.) in Woodbridge just north of Toronto. A group of enthusiast owners discussed setting up an event to showcase the largest solely Italian car show in Ontario, and they taking a good stab at the ambitious feat. From 9AM to 4PM they are welcoming anyone and everyone to stop by, browse around in awe at the vehicles, smell the richly burned fuel out of the multi-cylinder engines, enjoy some authentic Italian cuisine or gelato, and bask in the glory of being surrounded by dream cars from many generations.
The organizing committee is thrilled about being able to partner up with the Safehaven Project for Community Living charity. Safehaven offers residential and respite care for children and youth across North America with multiple disabilities and complex medical needs. Money will be raised from registration fees, various show activities, as well as raffle items including furniture, a plasma TV, a children's replica electric Ferrari, and two return airfare tickets to Italy.
Be sure to check back with us at the end of August for a detailed gallery of all the Italian Car Day has to offer. You can also take a look at the list of registered vehicles in anticipation on the event website.
