19 year old, Hang Jiang must have had a pretty good time last Friday night, judging from the fact that he was driving home loaded at 5:30 am on Saturday. His morning ended with a splash, when he plunged his 2004 Mercedes-Benz M-Class into the icy waters of Lake Ontario.

Jiang had been heading south on Lower Spadina Avenue when he failed to stop as he crossed Queen's Quay. Moments later, the SUV sailed over the edge of the promenade and ended up in the lake.

Onlookers say the man climbed out of the passenger door, before they rescued him from the frigid water. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

The driver was sent to hospital for treatment before being released to police and being charged with impaired driving and over 80 mgs operation of a motor vehicle.

The soggy MB was tugged from the lake by divers from the Toronto Marine Unit later on Saturday.

Sixty days in the slammer should dry out this stupid driver. With any luck the car is scrap and the driver has no vehicle to use. Wait till he puts in a claim to the insurance. No coverage due to impaired charge, insurance shoots up 200 percent if they keep him, and the bank will still want its payments. So much for drinking and driving.

Did he have a "pretty time" ? Pretty = as in he just come back from the salon after having his pubes colored and braided ?

or a "pretty GOOD time" ? As in he was out-of-his gourd mega-drunk ?
