A smashing good time at the 2012 Chili Bowl

Like it or not, fans go to races to see cars crash. They don't go to see people get hurt, or worse, but everyone loves to see a good crash. You would be hard put to find more crashes in one event than at the annual Chili Bowl Nationals in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
The Chili Bowl Nationals have been held two weeks after Christmas every year since 1987. To say it is a race would be an understatement. The five day event encompasses 20 main event races. This year, there were 259 competitors from 32 States, Canada, Finland, New Zealand and Australia. The Chili Bowl is a favourite of NASCAR star Tony Stewart and the entry list looks like a who's who of the big leagues.
Given that we know how much people like to see crashes, we would be remiss if we didn't hunt down some of the best flips, trips and tumbles of the 2012 Chili Bowl so we've been scraping the gootubes looking for the best. We've got them after the jump.
