BMW X5 test mule captured on video

It may be a year or two from public consumption, but sightings of the next generation BMW X5 have been coming fast and furious. Last week we had a peek at the big SUV in Munich, and now the good folks at Carscoop have captured the beast in action on ice.

Even clad in a psychedelic disguise, there is no mistaking the left hand driver as an X5 although it does appear to be a good bit longer than the current model. It is rumoured that BMW's newest flagship SUV will have both gas/electric and diesel/electric hybrids available in Europe, though there is no confirmation whether either of these will be available when the X5 arrives in Canadian showrooms.
