If you've ever had a hankering to try your hand at vintage sports car racing (and honestly, who among us hasn't?) – here's your chance.

Devotees of Colin Chapman's "just add lightness" principal will recognize this 1961 Lotus 18 Formula Junior as one of the most successful racecars of its era.

Introduced in 1960, the Lotus 18 was the Prince of Lightness's first design featuring a mid-ship engine. It quickly trounced the competition, proving itself the fastest formula car Grand Prix racing had ever seen. Easily taking the 1960 Monaco Grand Prix with the venerable Stirling Moss at the wheel, the Lotus 18 left the faster and more powerful sharknose Ferraris in its wake.

Listed on Ebay with a reserve bid of US$47,500,(about $47,239 Cdn) this Pennsylvania-located open-wheeler represents your chance to own a piece of racing history.
