Live news crash

See those two cars in the background, over the left shoulder of the talking head? They are in the process of crashing into one another, right there, live on the air. We're not sure what's more shocking, the crash or the reporter's reaction, which is to, well, stand there.

What's perhaps most interesting about this strange occurrence is that it points out the ridiculousness of many local TV news reports. Every day, reporters are sent out to stand in front of buildings to deliver live news reports about events that are not happening live.

Occasionally, as in this situation, some news actually does break out.

I could totally tell she wanted to look but the camera man maybe made sign to finish her sentence before she looked. I am sure she heard the accident so she knew it was there.

I have to ask this - did she not look because she:

A) Is a professional and the show must go on !

B) Is a class 'A' moron who only ever looks where she is told to look. Any or all of those people involved in that accident could have been seriously / critically injured and required immediate assistance (where every second counts) to survive. BUT HEY THAT AIN'T NEWS IS IT ? - YOU CLASS 'A' moron.

C) Both A + B

D) You don't care because you're her boss and you fire her on grounds of implacable idiocy after watching the video.

Settle down dude! She could just be a professional and is focused on her job, used to people dancing around in the background making asses of themselves while trying to get on live TV.

Or she could sinmply be a vapid airhead who just reads and smiles for a living.
