This insane street race really gives new meaning to the term horsepower showdown. In one of the strangest street racing videos we've come across yet, these speeding buggies recklessly weave through traffic and even try to outrun police in a dangerous chase caught on camera.

The ridiculous Irish Traveler street horse race shocks highway motorists and nearly causes a few head-on collisions, as they continue along the busy road like it's the Kentucky Derby. The scene only gets worse when police arrive and attempt to contain the potential dangerous Gypsy stunts by pulling over these wannabe-race jockeys.

We're not sure where these two Irish stunt buggies originally came from, but we do know the horses were named "Russian Lady" and "Christie's Filly." As for the men behind the reigns, sources say Police managed to arrest one of the racers so far meaning we suspect, the other one got away from the cops?
