This year, as it does every year since 1999, the Gumball 3000 attracts international playboys from around the world to speed through countries around the globe. While there have been some very exotic locales in years past, 2012 is running the good ol' New York to L.A. run. However, one of the highlights is the pack of stickered up supercars is stopping in Niagara Falls today before ending up in Toronto.
Set to launch at 12 noon from Times Square the area is abuzz with gawkers, police and a handful of celebs. At this year's event David Hasselhoff, Eve, Dirty Sanchez, The Dudesons and professional Swedish pro skier Jon Olsson are all here to go pedal down across the US of A. But enough about the stars, we are more interested in the cars themselves.
Our personal favourite Gumball cruiser, the Rolls Royce Phantom was there four deep and three Lamborghini Aventadors. A handful of 458 Italias showed up and curiously not one 360 Modena or 430 to name legacy Ferrari product. Plenty of Benzes showed up including some SLSs, SLRs and even a RennTech SL55. From there the usual suspects with some unusual old stuff a 427 Shelby Cobra, Morgan 3-wheeler and a '57 Chevy with a mega blower on it.
But enough chit-chat, check out the photos and see you in Niagara Falls and then Toronto later today!
