Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport loses control during dangerous drift demo [w/video]

The owner of this Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport gets in over his head during a drift demo at the recent Prescott hill climb. The driver wows UK crowds as he puts over 1,000 horsepower to use in a few tire-shredding runs... that is until things go wildly wrong, with a huge spin and a near crash!

Luckily, this stunt driver recovered just in time to save his Bugatti (and himself from a very costly repair bill), as the Veyron safely spins out into a grass embankment. When you have this amount of power, you'd better know how to use it.

But we have to admit, there's something amazing about watching this Veyron owner track his exotic monster the way it was designed to be used (not just sitting pretty in a garage or car collection).

I'm afraid the article made it sound like the driver narrowly avoided disaster. The video shows the car sliding and coming to a stop barely on the grass, and nowhere near a wall or other crash worthy object. This is a Jalopnik type of thing, not Autoblog. For shame.
