I pity the fool who rams a very cool replica of the A-Team van into a police car after he's been pulled over. Orlando police officers closed in on this 1980s TV icon and its wild wheelman following a number of reported traffic violations (including driving without his headlights on).
Before the officer could approach the van, this routine traffic stop quickly became a Hollywood-like action scene. Turns out its 50-year-old driver Luis Davilo is indeed a very dedicated fan of the classic TV series starring Mr.T (especially the car chase scenes), as he attempted to flee the scene and evade police by ramming his van into the patrol car that just pulled him over. Sounds like this guy really wanted to join an A-Team!
The Orlando Sentinel reports, Davilo repeatedly crashed into the patrol car, as police warned him to stop. He then proceeded to ram the cruiser again and smash into a light pole while trying to take off on the cops. That's when an officer armed with a taser used it on Davilo, through his open driver's window, as backup officers dragged him out of his replica A-Team van.
Police say Davilo appeared to be intoxicated, and later found open beer cans inside the van (maybe he was partying earlier with Mr. T?). Davilo faces charges of leaving the scene of an accident, aggravated battery on an officer, resisting arrest without violence, and fleeing an officer, as one officer was hurt during the incident.
I thought the A-Team were supposed to be the good guys?
