VW Golf driver suffers heart attack and hits the gas in reverse!

Not all odd driving behavior in a car can be prevented. Sure drunk driving is totally preventable but what if the driver suffers a diabetic episode like we saw this winter or even worse the driver has a massive heart attack. What we have found here is just that, a man suffers severe heart attack and another heroic man tries to save his life and prevent a catastrophe.
According to a Korean newspaper, the man driving this VW Golf 5-door became unconscious after his coronary condition. The car was in gear and he mashes the gas and the car proceeds to burn out. One valiant Koren tries desperate to open the door to pull the kill the engine and tend to the driver. However, the door is locked and his attempts at holding on to the car are a futile reaction to the shock.
The car escapes his grip and flies into four lanes of busy traffic. We see the drama from two views and it is definitely shocking to see how the video after the jump plays out. We know this is OT but what's with the weird Transformer-like contraption at 0:40... what is that exactly?
