It would be unfair to call the Quail Motorsports Gathering a car show. Doing so would be like saying Bruce Lee was sufficiently talented in the art of self defense. Every year the Quail Lodge in Carmel, California plays host to both manufacturers and collectors for a day, and this year saw a typically impressive range of featured models. From the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse to the SRT Viper GTS Launch Edition and the wild McLaren X-1 Concept to a passel of Shelby Cobra examples and a smattering of pre-war Alfa Romeo classics, the gathering serves as the chewy center of the Monterey weekend.
Being forced to pick a personal favorite would be unduly cruel, though we found ourselves particularly smitten with a cherry Honda S800 and the carbon fiber Vintech 550 Tribute.
Hit past the jump to take a gander at the photo gallery above for a hint of the impressive cars on hand.
