Forza Horizon launch party previews viral video from Toronto streets

Every once in a while, we get to put down the laptops and blow off some steam at various industry events. While some of them are dryer than Death Valley, when we get the call from XBOX Canada about upcoming launches, we know it's worth the trek. We recently got a chance to get hands-on with Forza Horizon for the first time and picked up some advanced copies of the game to review.

The launch party was a blast with Turn 10 Studios reps showing off their latest creation and game experts to show media all the tricks. A downtown warehouse was converted into a gamer's paradise complete with a pair of Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG's sitting in the foyer. Before the festivities began, the High Road Communications crew showed off a video they contracted to promote the game in a uniquely Canadian way... a battle of an Aston Martin Vantage and an Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG on the streets of Toronto!

We skipped the bar and the hors d'oeuvres trays to make a B-line for one of the gaming systems in house. A Microsoft Canada rep joined us for a fast tracked walk-through of full version in this latest in the Forza franchise. And we've done a preliminary review on our first look at the game but we'll continue to roll out some new finds and our progress in this free-range driving game.
