Lamborghini Aventador owner complains to B.C. police about expensive fine

It's hard to feel sorry for this 22-year-old driver and his white 2012 Lamborghini Aventador after police pulled him over for a recent violation in Richmond, BC.

Officers originally stopped the Lamborghini for a suspected front license plate violation, only to discover the $430,000 super car was foolishly not insured. The driver promptly earned himself a hefty $568 fine and got to watch his uninsured Aventador immediately towed away.

Then to make matters worse, "the driver actually complained the fine was too much money," said RCMP Cpl. Robert McDonald of the Lower Mainland District Traffic Services.

Although we understand tough economic times can be hard on everyone, it's still difficult to grasp why a mere $568 fine would seem excessively expensive to this driver from posh West Vancouver. This story is a real tearjerker, especially when you consider the plight of today's poor exotic car owners.

What's next, a Lamborghini owners petition against high gas prices?!

INSURANCE IS THE BIGGEST SCAM THERE IS PERIOD. NOBODY SHOULD HAVE TO PAY IT. EVERYONE SHOULD BE LIKE THIS GUY. PAYING FOR SOME USELESS WRITING ON A PIECE OF PAPER SHOULD BE ILLEGAL. CHEERS BUDDY, TO BAD YOU GOT CAUGHT AND HAD TO PAY ANYTHING. YOU NEVER HURT NO ONE, BUT THEY MAKE YOU PAY. YOU ARE IN THE RIGHT 100%.
BY THE WAY SHEEPLE, YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO GET MAD WHENEVER SOME ONE TRYS MAKING YOU PAY FOR NOTHING. HOPE YOU GET MY POINT!!!!
I HOPE MORE PEOPLE COMPLAIN. THEY SHOULD BE FLOODED CONSTANTLY WITH COMPLAINTS.

You must be pretty young to have a warped view like that. If you ever need insurance because you cause an accident you will be glad you have it. My cousin got hit by a drunk 9 years ago and if he did not have insurance to cover him he would have been SOL. His rehabilitation alone cost close to $500 000. He is also no longer able to work and has to collect a pension to survive as well as his settlement from his own insurance.

Hey Mark. Let me see if I got this right. As far as YOU are concerned - rich people should just pay whatever they're asked to pay and keep quiet about it. Is that it?

No but people shouldnt be so stupid. You drive an Aventador but cant afford insurance? A car with that much heat is bound to get pulled over soon enough. $568 is nothing for no insurance. One can just only hope that the impound charges are more than the car is worth so he learns his lesson.

See, there's a perfectly logical explanation for this. The car was bought with money from his daddy in China, presumably under the condition that he insure the car himself. Stupid kid being actually piss poor himself decides to pass on the insurance and prance around like an idiot until he gets in trouble and is now scared because he'll need to ask his daddy to pay the fine.
