Fast cars can be dangerous in the wrong hands and this story serves as a sad reminder that speed can kill. The joyriding teenager who recently crashed this Ferrari 430 (which he had just received for his birthday) has since died in hospital after suffering severe burns on 80 per cent of his body following the fiery accident.

The destroyed Ferrari was discovered engulfed in flames after coming to a halt in the woods, nearly 200 feet away from the road where it happened. Police say Akshay Panducherry, the 18-year-old driver who lived in suburban Atlanta had been out joy riding with his cousin, (21-year-old Harshavardhan Patlolla) who also suffered severe burns and remains in critical condition. Both Panducherry and Patlolla are said to have crawled out of the car after the crash.

Police spokesperson George Gordon said that the crash was caused by a "high rate of speed" and the accident is still under investigation.

sad but how typical of a spoiled rich brat who has never been taught responsibility or the need to obey laws. Now he is dead and has permanently disfiured his cousin, that is if he survives.

It's very easy to label people from a story like this. This poor child could have been a model citizen that gives most of his time giving back to the community, which could have been a reason why his wealthy father decide to reward him with a Ferrari. That could be a scenario, or he could have played his XBox all his life and gets a Ferrari. I don't know. However, in this sad scenario, I sure don't feel the need to label people that I don't know to exert an opinion.

"spoiled rich brat' ? Do you know that for sure? He was 18yr old, and like so many others his age made a very bad mistake. At his age he proably had very little driving experience.
