With most auto makers focusing on Christmas-based promotion we couldn't pass up sharing this little gem brought to us by the Ford Canada blog squad. With the amount of press Ford has been receiving, they could stand to draw some attention to the 2013 Escape, and what better way to do that than a post-apocalyptic zombie-fest? No complaints here!
Zombies have been gaining some serious traction this past year, and it didn't come as much of a surprise that another automaker jumped on the bandwagon. Hyundai has already been pushing the Tuscon via the Walking Dead series, but this is the first proper advert using our favorite Halloween fiends. Subaru even sponsors a Zombie-laden event called Run for Your Lives to promote their WRX with notable success.
Rather than going for a quick 30 second TV spot, Ford Canada contacted Canadian video producer Patrick Bolvin to come up with this 2 and a half minute zombie flick. Sure it's cheesy, and feels a bit like Shaun of the Dead director Edgar Wright did an infomercial but good on them for having a little fun rather than beating us over the head with more Santa Claus and reindeer.
