We all know by now that Ken Block is the kind of guy that doesn't really do half-measures when it comes to anything, so it's no surprise his freshly built HQ for Hoonigan Racing is a full-on man-cave masterpiece. What was once a plain old warehouse space has been crafted into what could only be described as what happens when industrial design, rally racing and snowboard fashion collide. Clad in bright Monster Energy green, and the Hoonigan brand's electric-blue, Block's new workspace is a bold example of wanting to do things differently.
Looking at the extensive use of shipping containers as means of building the inner rooms, we can understand how the entire undertaking took more than two years to complete. As funky and offbeat as the facility looks, there were clearly some astute professionals involved in the design process. Our favourite detail has to be the little "outdoor" lounge complete with folding lawn chairs and fireplace.
Ken's goal from day one was to set up a workspace that his entire staff would enjoy working in every day, and from this first look it looks like mission accomplished. Acting as a complete home base for Hoonigan Racing, the new facility has been packed with everything from a fully equipped workshop to a lounge space complete with bar and ping-pong table, both of which are likely to get some good use when the gang decides to leave the new Fiesta alone for a few minutes.
