Preparations for the 2013 Toronto Auto Show are well underway and of the 32 Canadian car premieres, we're looking forward to seeing the debut of these top 10 fuel friendly gas misers at the Canadian International Auto Show (CIAS). Some are production, some are concepts but all are aimed at saving gas... and money!

While it isn't surprising for car manufacturers to flaunt their latest hybrid, diesel and EV concepts, it's interesting to see so many of them being wrapped up in sleek sportscar packaging including the Cadillac ELR, Acura NSX and Lexus LF-LC. Making hybrid and econo boxes exciting and sexy sure isn't easy, but it looks like many of these cars have been specifically designed to change those public perceptions.

Concept cars aside, consumers can also expect to see a host of production-ready, fuel-efficient vehicles for the first time in Canada such as the Chevrolet Spark EV and new Honda Accord Plug-in Hybrid.
