The Lexus LF-CC concept was created to inspire the design philosophy of the new Lexus IS series of cars. It features a hybrid drive system powered by a 2.5 litre inline-4 cylinder engine, mated with an electric motor. Of course, this swoopy concept car shares little with the eventual Lexus IS which has recently launched, but we appreciate its artful inspiration nonetheless.
For what it's worth, the new IS which pays some homage to the LF-CC concept will be a more serious BMW 3 series competitor thanks to a Fuji Speedway and Nürburgring honed suspension. Lexus have also promised more than 300 horsepower when the new 2014 Lexus IS 350 reaches Canadian roads.
But until that happens, we can sit back and admire the sharp, angular lines and angry looking LED tail-lights of the Lexus LF-CC concept car displayed at the Toronto Auto Show.
