The following video is proof positive that snow and motorsports mix rather well. Yours truly attended a winter track day with Bridgestone Canadian Winter Driver Training and enjoyed a track battle - Canadian style. A few friends came along and we car-shared a Porsche 911, Audi R8 and BMW M3, chasing each other down on a snow-covered racetrack.
Driving pricey sports cars on a slippery winter racetrack may seem taboo when most sports car owners have their exotics tucked away in a warm garage with a cloth loving stretched over to preserve the paint - but to our minds, sports cars are meant to be driven. Driving to the limits of the available grip was the modus operandi, as is always the case no matter what track surface conditions are: snow-covered, wet, dry or otherwise.
The Porsche's tenacious grip rendered it a personal favorite, though the M3 was the most playful of the bunch, happy to enter and exit corners sideways.
Videographer and automotive enthusiast Graeme Jenvey of Dark Car Films braved the cold to capture the following footage at Canadian Tire Motorsports Park (formerly known as Mosport) on the tight and technical Driver Development Training track.
Hit the jump to watch three brilliant sports cars play in the white stuff.
