In a strange and very random Jameslist ad, two Gemballa-built McLaren MP4-12C GT3 race cars have been listed for sale in what appears to be the middle of nowhere in Liechtenstein, a small European country pinned between Switzerland and Austria. Now racing geeks, pay attention because here's something you are not destined to see come up for sale all that often, let alone a matched pair.
These Gemballa-prepped cars were part of race efforts running in the FIA GT series and were piloted by Nick Heidfeld and Pedro Lamy throughout 2012. It is unclear which events the cars ran in but we do know that chassis #22 was involved in a wreck and was rebuild from the ground up. The seller also claims a possibility of converting the cars for street use, but it's safe to assume that would be for countries with somewhat flexible road laws.
In the video past the jump you can see Nick running chassis #13 at the famed Nurburgring back in April 2012. These things sound incredible and it would be awesome to see a Canadian step up and bring them one, or both, to our shores. The going rate is set at 350,000 Euros for each car. For fully prepped current and competitive GT3s that are 2 of 25 ever built, that still sounds oddly reasonable.
