In typical fashion, GM have launched two parallel pickup trucks that share the same underpinnings - the new 2014 Chevrolet Silverado eats porridge at the table beside its GMC Sierra sibling before going to work. Both the new Silverado and Sierra can be seen at the 2013 Toronto Auto Show.
The Chevrolet Silverado will be available with 3 new engines, all of which add efficiency while also adding more power. The new engine list includes two V-8s - a 5.3 litre and a 6.2 litre as well as a new 4.3 litre V-6. All three engines include cylinder deactivation technology and power-boosting tech including direct injection. Expect best-yet mileage from this pickup since its inception. GM engineers spent more than 10 million hours of computer modeling while developing this engine, so expect these mills to be more refined than ever before.

We've been told that the new Chevrolet Silverado will be available in Canadian dealerships as of August of this year. GM is holding their pricing cards close to their chest and have stated that Canadian pricing will be announced closer to start of sale.
